You can search every dealership in Portland for the perfect car, but it’s guaranteed you won’t find this option included in the price tag: benefiting one of the community’s most important nonprofits for sick children. The Children’s Cancer Association, a nonprofit partner of Levé, has kicked off raffle ticket sales for a 2013 Mini Cooper S Hardtop. More than 11,000 seriously ill children, teens and family members are supported by the CCA annually, and the organization uses music, play and friendship to help bring moments of joy.
At only $40 per ticket, it’s a fun and easy way to help out the CCA while scoring an opportunity to win a new car. The organization is capping the raffle at 3,500 tickets, with the winning ticket scheduled to be drawn Sept. 27.
Last year’s car raffle by the CCA raised $130,000. The funds were used to support CCA’s innovative programs that prescribe joy to children, teens, and families in Oregon, Southwest Washington and across the nation — at absolutely no cost. The proceeds from just one ticket can purchase toys for the CCA’s Chemo Pal closet, provide iTunes gift cards for hospitalized children, or provide food or gas for a family in need.
The price is well worth the gamble.
