October is Domestic Violence Awareness month we are proud to support Bradley Angle. During the recent Week of Action, we shared personal stories of what Bradley Angle’s mission means to us. Check out this video to learn more!
Building communities where everyone feels safe
The month included some amazing events hosted by Bradley Angle, including Super!Drag on October 12, a spirited drag show hosted by famed Portland personality, Poison Waters. A few of us were lucky enough to be able to attend the show and see the power of community—and fun—in action. On October 26, Bradley Angle hosted the Purple Purse Lunch at the Portland Art Museum. Economics are the #1 reason people stay in abusive relationships—but economic empowerment is within everyone’s reach. The Purple Purse Lunch encouraged attendees to “use their purses to strengthen this community and change the equation.”
Last night (Thursday, Oct. 27) was Nosh4Nonviolence, a collaborative fundraiser for three local domestic violence intervention agencies, including Bradley Angle. The event mobilized restaurants willing to donate proceeds from one day of business directly to services for survivors.
Party for a purpose
We hope you will support Bradley Angle by purchasing tickets to Levé’s 13th Annual Charity Ball held on Saturday, December 3. This party for a purpose will feature a swanky VIP lounge, drinks, dancing, a food truck, and more. Levé is 100% volunteer-run by young professional women and your ticket purchase goes directly to support Bradley Angle’s mission of creating communities free from violence where everyone feels safe.
