What I do…

I grew up on a small island called Bainbridge Island. As a community, Bainbridge is very philanthropically oriented. In high school I traveled to Novosibirsk in Central Russia, where 17 other high schools from the island and I ran an American style summer camp for Russian orphans. That experience helped shape me into who I am today. Seeing their smiles brought me such joy, that I knew I wanted to work in the Philanthropic World.

I graduated from University of Oregon in 2013 with a degree in International Studies and a minor in African Studies. I have been to Africa twice, to work in an orphanage in Tanzania, and on a Nature Reserve in Botswana. I recently moved to Portland from Seattle. I currently work at a company called DTI in downtown Portland.
