Leslie Dillavou

What sounds do you love?

A little cliché maybe, but I do truly love the sound of rain on the roof during a stormy fall night.

Who is your hero?

My parents. Their kindness, compassion and love for each other is truly inspiring.

What musician would you most like to see perform in your living room?

Justin Timberlake. Or Beyoncé. As long as my living room has enough space for the dance party of a lifetime!

Other interesting facts we should know about you?

I am part Hawaiian.  I’ve taken numerous cooking classes but have yet to perfect my omelet.  I have done three triathlons.  And I am a terrible gardener.

What I do …

From 9-5, or rather, 7:30-3:30, I teach kindergarten in SE Portland.  After graduating from Gonzaga University in 2007, I taught, traveled and volunteered abroad for a year.  When I returned I received my Masters in Teaching from University of Portland and have been teaching in Portland Public Schools since 2010.  When I am not working or volunteering I enjoy playing soccer and basketball, golfing, reading, biking and hanging out with friends and family.
